We walk to d’feet MND in honour of…

Annina Paeschel

Annina was born in Loebau, Germany on August 25, 1969. She was the most generous, kind, compassionate and loving mother. She was incredibly creative, loved to laugh and taught us that the happiest people in the world are those who put others first, which is exactly what she did as a mother – always putting her 6 children first. After bravely battling her illness with incredible strength, she sadly passed away on 19th November 2008, at the age of 39, after living with Motor Neurone Disease for 9 months. She is much loved, deeply missed every day and will always be remembered.

On 25th August 2019, we took steps to d’feet MND in her memory on what would have been her 50th birthday.

A Silent Tear
(author unknown)

Just close your eyes and you will see
All the memories that you have of me
Just sit and relax and you will find
I’m really still there inside your mind

Don’t cry for me now I’m gone
For I am in the land of song
There is no pain, there is no fear
So dry away that silent tear

Don’t think of me in the dark and cold
For here I am, no longer old
I’m in that place that’s filled with love
Known to you all, as “up above”

Colleen Findlay

I will be walking in honour of my mum colleen findlay. She has 2 childern, chessan and kadian. She was a wonderful woman who would have done anything for anyone in need and a very caring mother. She began to struggle with her walking so the doctors taught she had a stroke but many months down the line after visiting a specialist, she was diagnosed with motor neuron disease in 2015. We are Jamaican so that was where she lived and unfortunately mummy passed away on the October 5th 2018. She was a very kind and generous daughter, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. We miss her so much, words cannot explain how good of a person she was. Mummy taught me and my brother so many lessons. I will cherish our memories together.
